China Post issued a set of one commemorative postcard featuring the Lanzhou 2018 All-China Specialized Exhibition on Astrophilately as well as a set of one postcard stamp with a denomination of 0.8 yuan (0.1164 U.S. dollars) on September 15, 2018.

The Lanzhou 2018 All-China Specialized Exhibition on Astrophilately opened at the Gansu Science and Technology Museum in Lanzhou City, capital of northwest China's Gansu Province, from September 15 to 17, 2018. It was the first national astronautics philately exhibition held in China.

The exhibition has three thematic activities, namely Space Science Popularization Day on September 15, Youth Activity Day on September 16, and Closing Day on September 17.

The category of the exhibition included Space, One Frame Space, Specialized Sections and One Frame Specialized Sections. The scale of the exhibition is 450 frames.

The postcard postage is based on the logo of the exhibition. The drawings are designed around the theme of space, which combine the logo of the exhibition with slogans, space launch vehicles, satellites and the landmark buildings of Lanzhou.

The postcard was designed by Dong Qi, and was printed by Beijing Stamp Printing House  using an offset printing process.
