China Post decides to issue a set of five special stamps entitled Pudong in the New Era on July 20, 2020. The denomination of the set of special stamps is 6.00 yuan, and 6.6 million sets will be issued. The five stamps are named: China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, Zhangjiang Science City, Lujiazui Financial District, East Bank of Huangpu River and Yangshan Port.
With five representative achievements as the themes, including China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, Zhangjiang Science City, Lujiazui Financial District, East Bank of Pujiang River and Yangshan Port, the stamps show the construction of Pudong as the core area of international economic, financial, trade, shipping and scientific innovation center in Shanghai, and the accelerating construction pace as an international cultural metropolis.
The stamps are printed with high-precision frequency modulation screening technology, and rendered with koldfoil and full-color fluorescent technology. With such technology, Lujiazui Financial District is visually attractive. The points, lines and planes of such landmarks as Shanghai Tower, Oriental Pearl Radio and TV Tower are combined, creating depth of the picture and the prominent image of Pudong as a modern city. Under a UV lamp, the stamps show a brilliant full-color effect, and the modern skyscrapers seem to leap off the page, vividly displaying the achievements of Pudong in the last 30 years.
The stamps are designed by the famous artist Han Binghua and printed by Henan Posts & Telecom Printing House with offset printing technology.
