China Post is to issue a set of special stamps China Aircraft (III), 4 pieces in one set, on April 17, 2021. The denomination of each set is 4.80 yuan. The planned circulation is 8 million sets, and the planned circulation for layout 2 is 1.05 million sets. Besides, a stamp book is issued, with a price of 50 yuan and a planned circulation of 100,000 volumes. The special stamps China Aircraft (III) issued by China Post reveal the latest achievements made by the aviation industry of China. The overall tone of the stamp pictures is silver grey. The composition is targeted to highlight the distinctive features of the 4 different aircraft models, which, presented in realistic style, creates a strong sense of presence and visual impact, and demonstrate the sense of technology and power in the aspect of China's aviation strength. The first stamp featuring the “J-20 stealth fighter” fully shows the fighter jet’s high-speed flight posture. The second, the "Y-20 large military transport aircraft", demonstrates the tremendous size and superb carrying capacity of the transport aircraft. The third, the “Z-20 medium-lift utility helicopter”, reflects the powerful and comprehensive performance of the helicopter in missions of transportation, emergency rescue and disaster relief in plateau areas. The fourth, the AG600 amphibious aircraft", showcases the distinctive features of amphibious aircraft operating both in the air and on the water.
This set of stamps is designed by Yu Xue, and printed via offset printing technology by Beijing Stamp Printing House Company Limited. The stamps will be on sale for 6 months at designated postal outlets nationwide and such channels as Online Mall of China Philately, China Post Mobile App, the official WeChat account of China Post Group, and the WeChat mini program China Post Mall, etc. To present more information about the stamps, China Post will release their digital contents through the WeChat mini program “Encyclopedia of China Philately and Stamps”, where viewers can learn more about the stamps via its AR function.
