China Post is to issue a set of four commemorative stamps entitled The Sustainable Development of Transport on October 15, 2021. The face value of the whole set is 4.8 yuan, and the planned circulation is 6.5 million sets. Since the 18th CPC National Congress, China has made historic progress in its transport system. The industry has entered a golden period characterized by infrastructure improvements, better services, and high-quality transformation and development. The set of special stamps is expressed with the technique of hand drawing. The first stamp of the four is entitled Comprehensive Transport. It reflects the efficient, convenient, modern and sea-land-air three-dimensional transportation network through the crisscross modern means and facilities of transportation such as the high-speed railway, highway, airport and ocean liner. The second one is entitled Poverty Alleviation via Transportation. With Gaoligong Mountain Dulongjiang Highway Tunnel, Dulongjiang Township and the bustling road with vehicles, it displays the concept of helping poor areas get rid of poverty and promoting economic development through transportation construction. The third one is entitled Green Development. It reflects the concepts of resource intensive utilization, green development and green travel through such elements as electric buses, charging stations, shared bicycles, express delivery vehicles, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, Chinese white dolphins. The fourth one is named Opening-up and Cooperation through Transportation. It reflects the spirit of opening-up and development through transportation via elements such as the China-Europe block train that is crossing the border and the cargo port.
This set of stamps is designed by Song Jian and printed with photogravure technology by Beijing Stamp Printing House Company Limited.
