On March 5, China Post is to issue a commemorative stamp entitled The 14th National People's Congress of the People’s Republic of China, with one piece in a set and the design bearing the same name. The denomination of the stamp is 1.20 yuan a set, and the planned circulation is 8.8 million sets.
The first session of the 14th National People's Congress of the People’s Republic of China will be held in Beijing on March 5, 2023. The stamp mainly features the Great Hall of the People in Beijing and the front cover of the Constitution of the People's Republic of China, and takes splendid mountains and rivers as the background, which symbolize the broad masses of the people. Simple but solemn, the whole design implies that the people's congress system of China has been consolidated and developed under the leadership of the Party, and reflects the lofty status of the Constitution. Painted by Chen Lei and collectively designed by the Academy of Arts & Designs of Tsinghua University, the stamp is printed by Beijing Stamp Printing House Company Limited through offset printing technologies. The stamp will be available for 6 months at designated postal outlets nationwide, online mall of China Philately (https://jiyou.11185.cn), the mobile app of China Post, the WeChat Mall for philatelic products in the official WeChat account and the WeChat mini program of China Post Group. To present more information about the stamp, China Post will release the digital contents through the WeChat mini program “Encyclopedia of China Philately and Stamps”, where philatelists can learn more about the stamp via its AR function. |
