China Post is to issue a commemorative stamp entitled The 120th Anniversary of Red Cross Society of China on March 10, 2024, with one piece in a set. The denomination of the stamp is 1.20 yuan, and the planned circulation is 7 million sets.

Founded in March 1904, the Red Cross Society of China (hereinafter referred to as RCSC) has become one of the non-governmental organizations with the longest history since modern times. The Red Cross is the most influential and recognized international organization in the world. It is a symbol and a banner, which transcends borders, races and beliefs to lead the humanitarian movements worldwide. In recent years, the RCSC has played a significant role in disaster relief, protecting lives and health, and promoting peace and progress of mankind, in which a host of excellent volunteers have emerged and made great contributions to the Party, the country and the people.

The design of the stamp features a red cross, combined with elements like interlocking hearts and a dove. The red cross in the sun rays symbolizes the spirit of humanity, fraternity and dedication, reflecting the glorious development of the RCSC over the past 120 years.

The stamp is designed by Xia Jingqiu and printed by Beijing Stamp Printing House Company Limited through offset intaglio technology.

The stamp will be available for six months at designated postal outlets nationwide, online mall of China Philately (https://jiyou.11185.cn), the mobile app of China Post, the WeChat Mall for philatelic products in the official WeChat account and the WeChat mini program of China Post Group. To present more information about the stamp, China Post will release the digital contents through the WeChat mini program “Encyclopedia of China Philately and Stamps”, where philatelists can learn more about the stamp via its AR function.
