China Post, together with Indonesia, is to issue a set of two commemorative stamps entitled The 75th Anniversary of China-Indonesia Diplomatic Relations on August 30, 2025. The designs of the stamps are named The West Lake in Hangzhou and Lake Bratan. The denomination of the whole set is 2.40 yuan, and 4.5 million sets are planned to be circulated.

The design of the first stamp features the West Lake in Hangzhou. The West Lake is a renowned “lake with cultural meaning” in Chinese history and an internationally acclaimed “paradise on earth.” Famous worldwide for its picturesque lake and hills, long history, profound cultural connotations and rich cultural and historical sites, the West Lake was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The design of the second stamp depicts Lake Bratan. Lake Bratan is one of the iconic landmarks on the Island of Bali, Indonesia, and also a major water source of irrigation in the local area. Formed in a volcanic crater, Lake Bratan boasts serene landscapes of lush mountains and clear waters, with refreshing cool air. And the surrounding buildings blend diverse architectural styles, elegant, exquisite and time-honored. All makes the lake a favorite destination among tourists.

The stamps, printed with high-precision photogravure technology, accurately reproduce the saturated colours of the original designs and demonstrate rich texture. When exposed to ultraviolet light, the stamps reveal distinctive features of the scenery under different light sources through fluorescence techniques, which enhance both anti-counterfeiting performance and visual appeal of the stamps.

This set of stamps is jointly designed by Guo Zhenshan and the creative team of Pos Indonesia, edited by Li Kexin, and printed by Beijing Stamp Printing House Company Limited with photogravure technology.

The set of stamps will be available for six months at designated postal outlets nationwide, the online mall of China Philately (https://jiyou.11185.cn), the mobile app of China Post, the WeChat Mall for philatelic products in the official WeChat account and the WeChat mini program of China Post Group. To present more information about the stamps, China Post will release their digital content through the WeChat mini program “Encyclopedia of China Philately and Stamps”, where philatelists can learn more about the stamps via its AR function.
