China Post is to issue a set of three commemorative stamps entitled The 15th National Games of the People’s Republic of China on November 9. The designs of the stamps are respectively named Artistic Swimming, Fencing and Table Tennis. The denomination of the whole set is 3.60 yuan. The planned circulation is 5 million sets of stamps and 693,000 sheets for layout 2.

The 15th National Games of the People’s Republic of China, jointly hosted by Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, is the largest-scale, highest-level and most influential comprehensive sports event in China. It is also the first time that Hong Kong and Macao have hosted the National Games.

The set of stamps is designed by Han Jiaying, Alan Chan and Au Chon Hin from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Macao respectively. The first stamp features artistic swimming, the second fencing, and the third table tennis.

The set of stamps is printed with high-precision offset technology. The overall color scheme is bright, with clear manifestation of the details. The figures on all the three stamps are printed with gloss varnish technology, which not only makes the images more vivid and stereoscopic, but also gives the stamps a unique sheen. The text is printed in silver, creating a distinctive visual effect. Under ultraviolet light, the fluorescence on the stamps not only improves their visual appeal but also enhances their anti-counterfeiting properties.

This set of stamps will be available for six months at designated postal outlets nationwide, online mall of China Philately (https://jiyou.11185.cn), the mobile app of China Post, the WeChat Mall for philatelic products in the official WeChat account and the WeChat mini program of China Post Group. To present more information about the stamps, China Post will release the digital content through the WeChat mini program “Encyclopedia of China Philately and Stamps”, where philatelists can learn more about the stamps via its AR function.
